The Calming Facial.
Because inflammation is the enemy.
This is not just a relaxing facial. It is a corrective treatment built around one of the most common and most overlooked skin concerns: inflammation. Redness, irritation, sensitivity, reactivity, these are not just cosmetic issues. They are signs that something deeper is happening in your skin and left unaddressed they lead to bigger problems down the line.
The Circadia Signature Calming Facial was designed to address that root cause directly. Not just calm the surface. Actually treat what is driving the inflammation in the first place.
85% of people
will deal with some form of skin
inflammation in their lifetime.
For melanin-rich skin the stakes
are even higher.
Why this facial matters more for melanin-rich skin.
Here is something most people don't know: melanin-rich skin is more susceptible to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. What that means in practice is that any point of trauma to the skin, a breakout, a scar, irritation from a product or treatment, can leave a dark mark that lingers long after the original issue has cleared.
If you are acne-prone, rosacea-prone, or just generally reactive, your skin is working overtime to respond to inflammation. And every time it does, there is a risk of scarring and discoloration that is harder to correct in deeper skin tones than in lighter ones.
This facial is preventative as much as it is corrective. We are calming the inflammation before it has a chance to leave its mark. Literally.
This is why I don't jump straight to aggressive exfoliation or resurfacing with my melanin-rich skin clients. We have to get the inflammation under control first. The Calming Facial is often where that work starts.
Topical Oxygen Therapy
Constricts blood vessels, reduces redness, and inhibits microbial growth. Oxygen reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress, calming irritation at a cellular level while promoting collagen synthesis and strengthening the skin barrier. For rosacea-prone and reactive skin this is one of the most effective calming tools available.
What's actually in this treatment.
This facial uses three Circadia treatments in sequence, each targeting inflammation from a different angle. Together they calm, repair, and restore.
Chrono Calm with Telangyn
A peptide-based treatment that targets vascular inflammation directly. Telangyn strengthens capillary walls, minimizes visible redness, and supports the skin barrier to reduce sensitivity over time. This is the ingredient that makes the Circadia Calming Facial different from a standard soothing facial. It is working at the structural level, not just the surface.
Cocoa Enzyme Treatment
Rich in polyphenols and flavonoids with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Cocoa reduces oxidative stress, hydrates and repairs the skin barrier, and minimizes irritation. It also provides essential fatty acids that calm and strengthen compromised skin. Plus it smells incredible.
Who this facial is for.
This facial is for you if your skin is reactive, barrier compromised, red, or never quite feels calm. If you deal with rosacea, acne, sensitivity, or post-treatment irritation. If you have melanin-rich skin and you're tired of dark marks showing up every time your skin goes through any kind of stress. If you've had aggressive treatments elsewhere that left your skin worse than before.
It is also for you if you simply want to invest in your skin's long-term health. Keeping inflammation low is one of the most important things you can do for your skin regardless of your skin type or concerns.

Questions about
the Calming Facial.

Anyone dealing with redness, inflammation, sensitivity, acne, rosacea, or reactive skin. If your skin never quite feels calm, this is for you. It is also specifically relevant for melanin-rich skin because inflammation that goes untreated leads directly to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Dark marks after breakouts, scars that linger, uneven tone that keeps coming back. This facial addresses the inflammation before it has a chance to leave its mark. If your skin is stressed, this is where we start.

A few things to flag before you book. This facial is not recommended if you have an allergy to cocoa, pineapple, papaya, or citric acid, as these are active ingredients in the treatment. If you have used Accutane within the last year, this is also not the right service for you right now. Outside of those, this facial is suitable for most skin types including sensitive, acne-prone, rosacea-prone, and reactive skin. Not sure if you qualify? Text me before you book and we can figure it out together.

The treatment runs about 60 minutes and uses three key Circadia treatments in sequence. We start with a double cleanse to prep the skin properly. Then the Cocoa Enzyme Set gently exfoliates using papaya and pineapple enzymes to polish away dead skin cells and give the skin an anti-inflammatory reset. The Oxygen RX Treatment follows, delivering a controlled surge of topical oxygen that calms bacteria, neutralizes redness, and creates an environment where inflammation cannot thrive. We finish with the Alpha Gel Mask and Calming Powder Blend, which soothes, hydrates, and begins barrier repair. Extractions can be performed during the process if needed. You leave with skin that is noticeably calmer, more hydrated, and visibly refreshed.

Yes. This facial is designed to deliver instant results alongside long-term correction. You should notice calmer, more hydrated, and more balanced skin immediately after your appointment. That said, one session addresses the current state of your skin. If inflammation is an ongoing issue for you, it will keep coming back without a consistent treatment plan and proper homecare. Circadia recommends this facial one to two times per month for best results. We build on each session.

Melanin-rich skin is more susceptible to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Any point of trauma, whether that is a breakout, a reaction to a product, or even aggressive exfoliation, can leave a dark mark that takes months to fade. If you are acne-prone or rosacea-prone, that risk is even higher. The Calming Facial works to reduce and prevent that inflammation before it can cause lasting discoloration. I also approach this facial strategically for deeper skin tones, prioritizing barrier support and calming over any aggressive resurfacing. We are not here to strip your skin. We are here to reset it.

Homecare is a huge part of keeping your results. After this facial I typically recommend the Circadia Lipid Replacing Cleansing Gel to keep your barrier intact, the Aloe and Calendula Calming Mist for daily soothing support, Chrono-Calm serum for ongoing inflammation management, Tranquili Cream for hydration and barrier repair, and Circa-Shield for SPF protection because sun exposure will undo everything we worked for in that room. I will go over your specific homecare plan at your appointment based on what your skin actually needs that day.
Non-negotiable: SPF every single day. The vast majority of skin damage and discoloration is caused by UV exposure. Circadia Light Day SPF is my go-to recommendation for almost every client. -
Once to twice a month is the recommended cadence. Inflammation is an ongoing process in the skin, not a one-time event. Consistent treatment paired with the right homecare is what produces real long-term change. If your skin is in a reactive phase, coming in more frequently at first and then spacing out as things stabilize is a smart approach. We will figure out the right rhythm together at your first appointment.

Yes. This facial was specifically developed to address rosacea among other inflammatory skin conditions. Rosacea is driven by vascular inflammation and an overactive immune response, and the Circadia protocol targets that directly. The Oxygen RX Treatment constricts blood vessels and reduces microbial growth. The Telangyn peptide in Chrono Calm strengthens capillary walls and minimizes visible redness. The Cocoa Enzyme Treatment provides antioxidant protection and soothes barrier function. None of these are aggressive. Everything is designed to work with sensitive and reactive skin, not against it.
